One of the Club’s greatest facilities is the Concert room; it can seat up to 250 people as well as provide a large dance floor and a stage for live bands to perform on. This large function room also includes its own lighting equipment to enhance your night as well as air conditioning. This room is suitable for Weddings, christenings, birthday parties, Anniversaries, Funerals and any other special occasions. Function Room. There is also a smaller function room which seats up to 50 people, it too provides a smaller dance floor and air conditioning. This smaller function room is also equipped with two dart boards. Parking. Drax club also comes with a 100-space car Parking area as well Disabled car parking spaces. Snooker tables & Smokers. Drax also maintains three large snooker tables with its own enclosed area for the full experience, whilst also providing a heated smoking area. Gym. The gymnasium is fully equipped with Treadmills, rowing machines, professional weight lifting equipment, exercise bikes and everything you will ever need to develop that six pack you’ve always wanted. Childrens Play Area. This is being constructed at the moment at the front of the club house and should be up and running in June. The Golf Club. The Golf course is currently a 9 hole course but is being currently extended to 13 holes (see future developments). Its idyllic views and location gives you a peaceful and pleasant days golfing. It is situated close to the club which offers refreshments and an extensive menu to complete the golfing experience. There is a Football pitch available where not only the three Drax teams (Saturday/Sunday Adults and Saturday Juniors) play, but can also host friendly games. The facilities provided are full size changing rooms, fitted with showers both available for male and female. The outside bowling area has its own pavilion and reputedly has one of the best bowling greens in Yorkshire. Also available from August until April is short Mat bowling on a Wednesday night (see events). Tennis. The club also offers two Tennis Courts where Club members are welcome to use the facility at their leisure. Fishing There is 5 acre private fishing Lakes stocked with varieties of different fish available to Drax Club members only. One main feature about joining the Fishing Club is that it is members of the Aire and Calder Joint Canal committee; this means that it has fishing access to 11 miles of Aire and Calder Canal. Recent events that have welcomed campers include “fly ball” a dog show and recently a Country and Western weekend where visitors were welcome to stay in their caravans and are provided with water and shower rooms.
